Arab Forum for Arms Control, Disarmament, Non-Proliferation Begins

 

 

Doha, May 02 (QNA) - The Second Arab Forum for Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation began today, under the patronage of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, with the attendance of HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit. The forum will last three days. 

During the first day of the forum, HE the Chief of Staff witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the League of Arab States represented by HE Ambassador Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Manzalawi, who is the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the International Political Affairs Sector of the League of Arab States, and the National Committee for the Prohibition of Arms represented by Chairman of the Committee Brigadier General Dr. Abdulaziz Salmin Al Jabri.

The forum's opening was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country, and a number of senior officers in the armed forces. (QNA)
