Basra University And Iranian Azadi Discuss Signing A MoU And Joint Scientific Cooperation

Basra / NINA / The Universities of Basra and Azadi in the Islamic Republic of Iran discussed signing a memorandum of understanding and scientific cooperation between the two universities.
The media of the University of Basra stated that the University's Dean, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, received today the delegation of Azadi University in the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Dr. Saeed Obaid, Dean of the University in Abadan, and Dr. Abdul Nabi Muhammad Jawad, Associate Dean in Tehran, in the presence of the Assistant President of Basra University for Scientific Affairs and Director of the Scholarships and International Relations Department.
It added: "The two parties discussed the desire of Azadi University in Khuzestan to sign a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the two universities in the research and scientific fields and to activate the visits of teaching staff between the two sides according to a draft submitted to the University of Basra for studying it."
The President of Basra University briefed the delegation on the success of previous agreements with Iranian universities, stressing that "there will be a joint cultural week between the University of Basra and Ferdowsi University, according to the agreement signed earlier, and the visiting professor program was activated between them".
It is noteworthy that Azadi University is one of the largest private universities in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the world, and it has (500) branches, and it owns large infrastructure and affiliated hospitals, and its first branch in Iraq will be opened in the capital, Baghdad, soon./ End
