Beach Volleyball Pro Tour 2023: Qatar Beat Chile in Gstaad Round

Bern/Switzerland, July 07 (QNA) - Qatari beach volleyball duo Sherif Younis and Ahmed Tijan, defeated the Chilean duo in the Gstaad round of the World Beach Volleyball Tour 2023, held between July 5-9 in Switzerland, with the participation of 79 five-star teams.
The Qatari duo beat Chile's Marco Grimalt and Esteban Grimalt 21-15 / 21-13 in the first match of Group B.
The Qatari team, bronze medal winners at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, are on a quest of obtaining points that enhance their qualification for the Olympic Games (Paris 2024).
The Qatari Beach Volleyball team occupies fifth place in the International Federation of Volleyball ranking. (QNA)
