2nd Microsoft Accelerating Asia Pacific Summit From Dec 6-7 In Kl

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Microsoft (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Microsoft Corp, will host the second Microsoft Accelerating Asia Pacific 2011 summit here from Dec 6-7. The two-day summit will highlight how the combination of Microsoft's technology and local partnerships are positively impacting pressing societal issues such as education, workforce development and disaster response throughout Asia, the company said in a statement Wednesday. Its managing director Ananth Lazarus said: "As urgency over national competitiveness, youth empowerment as well as advancements in education, healthcare and citizen services intensifies, technology plays a key role towards enabling transformation. "Microsoft, through its people and partnerships, will continue to be Malaysia's trusted and long-term partner in realising the nation's aspirations towards advancement of economic and social progress."
