Speaking at the ACMA Business Forum 2017, themed "Reinventing Business, Reshaping Thailand", which was organized by the Capital Market Academy (CMA) in Bangkok on Wednesday, Minister of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj announced that 24,700 local villages will be first able to access to the government-run high speed Internet system by the end of this year.
The minister told the forum that all the rest of the Thai villages will be able to then access to the high speed Internet system by the end of next year.
"Once the installation of the public high speed Internet system is completed, local villagers can access to online services and activities equally to those in Bangkok, covering their online marketing and sale of their community products", said the minister.
