"Azerbaijan Railways" expands car fleet for transportation of oil products

Azerbaijan, Baku, October 14/Trend, A.Akhundov/ "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC views the issue of purchasing some 300 new tank wagons for transportation of oil and oil products, the Chairman of the CJSC Arif Askerov said. In addition, according to him, the issue of purchasing cars for transporting dry goods, as well as equipment and spare parts needed for overhaul repair of freight cars is on the agenda. The CJSC views the possibility of creating bases for the overhaul repair of passenger cars in Baku Train Station. "Earlier, 60 passenger cars, owned by the CJSC, were sent for repair to Ukraine, some 46 of these cars have already been repaired and returned to the country. Meanwhile, some six of 16 cars that were sent to Voronezh, were brought to Azerbaijan. Today, these cars are used on routes such as Baku-Tbilisi, Baku-Moscow and Baku-Kharkov and Baku- Balakan, " Askerov said. According to him, the results of production, financial and industrial activity of the CJSC during the first nine months of 2013 are satisfactory.
