Bahrain's hospitality, tourism potentials highlighted

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): The Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) has hosted its first Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting for hospitality, leisure and tourism in collaboration with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).
The forum was chaired by BTEA’s Chief Executive Office Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa who presented tourism insights for 2018 and addressed questions from the forum members and their guests.
On this occasion, Shaikh Khaled commented: "The BTEA is committed to supporting initiatives aimed at boosting investments in Bahrain’s tourism sector. We therefore encourage this initiative, which is in line with the BTEA’s long-term strategy to make the Kingdom a leading regional center offering a diverse and distinct variety of tourism facilities. Through promoting the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors, we aim to further enhance visitors’ experience."
The event was attended by leading businesspeople in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry and forum members who had the opportunity to learn, in detail, about the industry’s highlights for the coming year.
The BBBF is a leading network of businesspeople in Bahrain. The forum has nine Special Interest Groups include oil, gas and energy; hospitality leisure and tourism; construction; banking and financial services; ICT; legal; organisational effectiveness; young professionals and businesswomen. The SIGs offer members and guests a valuable medium for exchanging industry specific ideas and discussing issues relevant to a particular sector in a more informal setting.
