Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Bank of Mongolia says that a money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of January 2012 reached MNT 6,150.1 billion, decreasing by MNT 262.1 billion or 4.1 per cent against the previous month, and increasing MNT 1,344.7 billion or 28.0 per cent against the previous year.
At the end of January 2012, a currency issued in circulation reached MNT 657.0 billion, decreasing by MNT 56.4 billion or 7.9 per cent against the previous month, and increasing by MNT 91.3 billion or 16.1 per cent against the previous year.
Loans outstanding at the end of January 2012 amounted to MNT 5,649.0 billion, increasing by MNT 7.8 billion or 0.1 per cent against the previous month, and increasing by MNT 2,208.7 billion 64.2 per cent against the previous year.
Principals in arrears at the end of January 2012 reached MNT 73.8 billion, increasing by MNT 0.1 billion or 0.1 per cent against the previous month, and decreasing by MNT 29.2 billion or 28.3 per cent against the previous year.
The non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 328.0 billion, showing decreases by MNT 2.0 billion or 0.6 per cent against the previous month, by MNT 33.5 billion or 9.3 per cent against the previous year.
In January 2012, there were 22 trading days and 4.8 million shares valued MNT4.7 billion were traded.
