Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A money supply (broad money or M2) reached MNT 7,118.2 billion at the end of September 2012, increasing MNT 121.1 billion or 1.7 percent compared to the previous month, and by MNT 1,064.3 billion or 17.6 per cent against the previous year.
At the end of September 2012, a currency issued in circulation reached MNT 745.6 billion, decreasing by MNT 69.3 billion or 8.5 per cent compared to the previous month and by MNT 40.3 billion or 5.7 per cent against 2011.
Loans outstanding at the end of September 2012 amounted to MNT 6,867.3 billion, increasing MNT 192.2 billion or 2.9 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 1,808.2 billion or 35.7 per cent against the previous year.
Principals in arrears at the end of September 2012 reached MNT 117.0 billion, increasing MNT 16.4 billion or 16.3 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 56.5 billion or 93.4 per cent against the previous year.
The non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 306.3 billion, showing a decrease of MNT 6.0 billion or 1.9 per cent compared to the previous month, and a decrease of MNT 51.0 billion or 14.3 per cent against the previous year.
In September 2012, 12.1 million shares valued at MNT 30.2 billion were traded in 20 trading days.
