Blueprint Expected To Clarify National Banking Vision

Jakarta, March 14 (Antara) - The existence of a national banking blueprint proposed by a number of people is expected to clarify the vision and mission of banking in Indonesia, including the ease of financial opportunities for all parties. "Our proposal is that the government and parliament as well as bank stakeholders to think about the national banking blueprint to be the consensus agreement of all parties," said Chairman of the Federation of Private Domestic Banks, Perbanas, Sigit Pramono at the presidential office on Wednesday after meeting with President Yudhoyono. He said that the federation is expecting the banking blueprint already exists, so they can manage a number of things better. "The President also agreed regarding access to finance for all parties and the need to have a blueprint for the nation`s national bank. President should think according to the context forward and adaptive to the changes ahead," said Sigit. Perbanas also provide input on how the role of foreign banks operates in Indonesia as well as its contribution to the national economy. "The blue print must also including the clear role of foreign banks that operates in Indonesia," he added. Sigit said that the financial inclusion policy should not be limited on easier credit distribution for the people but also about all the financial services to the bank so that not only the national banks have the role but also the private banks.
