BP Healthcare To Open Outlets In Indonesia & Thailand In Q2

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- Integrated healthcare provider, BP Healthcare Group, is on track to open its first regional outlets in Indonesia and Thailand in the second quarter of this year. In a statement Tuesday, BP Healthcare said it has formalised joint ventures with the Ciputra Group of Indonesia and Red Bull International of Thailand recently during its 30th anniversary celebration here. BP Healthcare's deputy chairman, Chevy Beh, said the company was now at the stage of identifying strategic locations in Jakarta and Bangkok with its partners. "Our first regional outlets will be launched in the second quarter of this year. I expect Bangkok will open first," Beh said. He said the Indonesian joint venture would be called Ciputra BP Healthcare while the Thai business, BP Healthcare Thailand. "The operations in the two countries will start by offering medical laboratory testing, diagnostic centres and hearing centres which are part of the well-diversified healthcare services owned by us," he said. Beh said the company planned to open 100 outlets in Indonesia and 50 in Thailand by 2015. -- BERNAMA
