Businesses Need To Continue Innovating Eco-Friendly Products -- Taiwan Excellence

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 (Bernama) -- Businesses need to continue innovating products with carbon footprint reduction, eco consumerism and sustainable development in mind, as the demand for green products has been increasing rapidly. Taiwan Excellence said in a statement Wednesday that more consumers prefer eco-friendly options to alleviate global climate change which requires development and adoption of green technology innovations. “As such, the Taiwanese government holds the circular economy, purifying air, improving water quality and caring for the earth as core parts of its administration; integrating them through recycling and reusing to achieve the goal of sustainability and zero-waste,” it said. With this in mind, Taiwan Excellence had hosted the Green Life Online Press Conference yesterday to showcase the latest green products innovations. “Highlights include the showcase of ‘Rockbook Notebook Series’ by Taiwan Lung Meng Advanced Composite Materials, which utilises materials without cutting down trees or bleaching, and Ju Tian’s ‘Bagasse Straws’, made with renewable materials such as coffee grounds, bamboo powder, tea dregs, and rice hulls,” it said. Besides that, the event also showcased Jun Yoo ‘Waterborne Coated (WCP) Paper Cups’ -- a 100 per cent eco-friendly polylactic acid biodegradable paper coating technology and Kai Suh Suh’s ‘hook-and-loop fasteners’, featuring zip ties and hooks that could rotate 360 degrees, surpassing the structures and applications of traditional zip ties.
