Car orders reach 5,600 units in first two-days of Thailand Motor Expo 2012

BANGKOK, December 1 (TNA) - The number of car orders during the first two-days of the ongoing 29th Thailand International Motor Expo 2012, which will continue until December 10, has reached 5,691 units. According to the organizer, of the total order, 2,207 were made on November 29, the first day of the motor expo, while 3,484 were placed Saturday. Toyota received order of 1,554 units, the highest among participating auto brands, followed by Honda with 1,152 units and Isuzu with 691 units. Chairman of organizing committee Kwanchai Paphatphong said that at least 50,000 car orders are expected to be placed at the expo, held at the IMPACT Challenger 1-3 in Muang Thong Thani on the outskirts of Bangkok, and he believes the 12-day event should draw at least 1.6 million international visitors with a total revenue of over 55 billion baht likely to be generated.
