China Potential Market For North Sulawesi's Exports

Manado, N Sulawesi, Aug 19 (Antara) - China is a potential market for North Sulawesi Province`s export commodities, stated a local industry and trade official. "Almost every week, North Sulawesi exports different commodities to China," Head of Foreign Trade section at the North Sulawesi Industry and Trade Office T. Hasudungan Siregar stated here on Tuesday. In early August, North Sulawesi exported 154.5 tons of coconut fiber worth US$41,306, he remarked. The province had also exported 2.28 tons of dried butter wafer cake valued at US$7,656, he stated. In the past several months, North Sulawesi also exported various coconut byproducts such as coconut powder and coconut cake along with nutmeg and fishery products, he noted. North Sulawesi routinely exports different commodities to China, which suggests that the local products are meeting international standards, he pointed out.
