CIS goods provide a quarter of Azerbaijan’s imports

Azerbaijan, Baku, August 26 /Trend, A.Akhundov/ In January-July Azerbaijan imported most of its products from Russia, the share being 14.18 per cent of Azerbaijan's imports. In comparison with the same period last year Russia increased its exports to Azerbaijan by 16.33 per cent to $0.876 billion, according to a report from the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee. In total, currently 24.23 per cent of Azerbaijan's imports fall to the CIS countries, 33.56 per cent to the EU and 42.21 per cent to the other countries. The total imports from the EU in January-July 2013 constituted $2.07 billion which exceeded the indicator for the same period last year by 43.14 per cent, from the CIS $1.5 billion (an increase of almost 15 per cent) and from other countries $2.61 billion (an increase of 2.39 per cent). During January-July Azerbaijan's imports constituted $6.18 billion which is 16.63 per cent more compared to the same period of 2012.
