Commerce Ministry ready for organic fair

BANGKOK, July 10 (TNA) -- The Commerce Ministry is well prepared to organise the ‘Organic and Natural Expo 2017’, aimed at displaying Thai organic agricultural products, encouraging people to consume more organic products and conserve environment, said Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantraporn. The fair to be organised at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre between July 27-30 and projected to draw over 200 booths will also build trade connections between local and oversea dealers, Ms Apiradi said. She said participants will have an opportunity to attend seminars on organic products and build trade opportunities with traders in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, whose products will be displayed at the fair. Urging people of every sector to realise and help develop organic farm products, Ms Apiradi said the products would help in “adding value and also improving of quality of life for both producers and consumers.” (TNA)
