CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND PASSANGERS IN FIGURES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In 2011, construction and installation works were carried out with MNT 450.7 billion at the national level. Of them, domestic entities executed almost 95 percent of works costing MNT 427.9 billion, foreign ones made the rest--5.1 percent or MNT 22.8 billion. The MNT 99.9 billion or 28.5 per cent increase in construction and installation works against the previous year was mainly due to the MNT 101.4 billion or 31.1 per cent increase in works executed by domestic entities. In the last year, 44 million tons of freight and 296.2 million passengers at a duplicated number were carried by all types of transport; freight carried rose by 14.5 million tons or 49.5 per cent, and passengers--by 45.5 million people or 18.2 per cent.
