"DISCOVER MONGOLIA-2012" INT'L MINING FORUM BEGINS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The 10th "Discover Mongolia-2012" International Mining Investors Forum (IMIF) started on August 30 in Ulaanbaatar. It is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of establishing a mining section in Mongolia. The Mining Minister, D.Gankhuyag addressed the forum. "Countries with intensively developing mining section have the same problems, and we intend to solve them by using ideas deriving from some initiatives such as on developing a responsible mining and others," he said. A head of the forum's Organizational committee, former president of Mongolia P.Ochirbat gave a key speech “From exploration and mining to development”. Other participants also dedicated their reports to mining-related matters. The forum has been attended by representatives of domestic and foreign investment mining companies and their associates. The gathered are focusing mainly on energy, transport and manufacturing industries' matters.
