Economic Center Calls The government To Hold a Similar Conference To Sharm el-Sheikh To Support The Iraqi Economy

BAGHDAD / NINA / The Economic Press Center called the Iraqi government to convene a conference of donors, to call all the countries within the international coalition to fight terrorism, to finance (fund to support) the reconstruction of areas devastated by terrorism and military operations. The head of the Center, Dergham Mohammed Ali told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "a conference similar to Sharm el-Sheikh Conference, will provide the cash needed by Iraq to finance the reconstruction of affected areas as an international obligation to support Iraq in its war against terrorism." He pointed out: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the key role in the diplomatic efforts and international tours effort in this regard." He noted that "such a conference is the strategic key for the reconstruction of the affected areas in the shadow of the financial crisis experienced by the country." He added that "international grants are the best formula for funding, as the deposits and international loans are not appropriate for this stage because of the accumulation of international debt on Iraq." Nearly 100 countries from all over the world participated in Sharm el-Sheikh economic conference in Cairo on the third of this month, along with 25 regional and international organizations to hold bilateral meetings between Arab and European countries and Strengthening the economic cooperation ./ End
