EXTERNAL TRADE IN STATISTICS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first five months of this year, Mongolia traded with 115 countries and total foreign trade turnover reached USD 4,059.8 mln. The export was made up with USD 1,927.9 mln, whereas the import was calculated at USD 2,131.9 mln. Thus, foreign trade balance showed a deficit of USD 824.7 mln in the first five months of 2014, while it was in a deficit of USD 204.0 mln, going down by USD 620.8 mln from the same period of the previous year. Total foreign trade turnover increased USD 51.4 mln or 1.3 percent, of which imports decreased by USD 336.1 mln or 13.6 percent and exports increased by USD 284.7 mln or 17.3 percent against with the same period of 2013.
