Gatsuurt gold deposit has reserve of 50-60 ton

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Tsesten Mining and Energy LLC and Centerra Gold Mongolia LLC separately submitted to the Mining Ministry their requests to include Tsaidam coal deposit and Gatsuurt gold deposit into the list of strategic deposits. The Government has submitted to parliament a draft resolution requesting including of the above two deposits to the list of strategic deposits of Mongolia. Tsetsen Mining and Energy LLC, who has been working on projects of coal gasification and liquefaction in Tsaidam, wants to cooperate with the Government in these projects, says Mining Deputy Minister O.Erdenebulgan. For the Gatsuurt gold deposit, it has a comparably smaller reserve of 50-60 ton of gold. However, under collaboration with the Government, its investments are expected to grow by USD 300 million, says O.Erdenebulgan.
