Govt Raises Distribution Cost Of Subsidized Fuels Rp20/Lt
Jakarta, Nov 15 (Antara) - The government has raised by Rp20 per liter state oil and gas company Pertamina`s 2013 distribution costs and margins for subsidized gasoline and diesel oil.
The rise in the distribution costs and margins was the result of the government`s decision to raise the prices of subsidized fuels late June, according to Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik`s decree No. 3794 K/12/MEM/2013 dated November 11, 2013, a copy of which was made available on Friday.
The subsidized fuel price hike had affected the operating cost of the company, the decree noted.
According to the appendix to the decree, made retroactive to June 22, 2013, the reference price of subsidized gasoline is set at 3.32 percent of MOPS (Mid Oil Platts Singapore)+Rp484 per liter, and subsidized diesel at 2.17 percent of MOPS+Rp521 per liter.
The decree is a revision of the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister`s decree No. 2046 K/12/MEM/2013 on the reference price of certain fuels dated April 18, 2013.
Under this decree, the reference price of subsidized gasoline was set at 3.32 percent of MOPS+Rp454 per liter and subsidized diesel at 2.17 percent of MOPS+Rp491 per liter.
Meanwhile, the reference price of kerosene remains unchanged at 2.49 percent of MOPS+Rp491 per liter.
