Indonesia, Malaysia Industry Network Players Join Hands To Conduct Webinar On Cybersecurity

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 (Bernama) -- Industry networks from Indonesia and Malaysia have conducted a virtual event entitled "Cyber Security Across Borders – Panel Series" webinar on Wednesday. In a statement released Wednesday, Serba Dinamik, Malaysia's private limited company said the event is an industry-led initiative by the Serba Dinamik-ESPC partnership with Provintell Sdn Bhd and Indonesia ICION to connect the chief information officers’ networks between Malaysia and Indonesia. "This webinar is also jointly sponsored by cybersecurity networks from Malaysia and Indonesia which are MDeC, CSM, Entrust, Bitglass, ICION 2020, CSCIS, CISSRec and MCION. The exclusive media partner is e-Security & Privacy Channel (ESPC)," it said. It added that the webinar is the first of its kind with cybersecurity experts from the two neighbouring countries Malaysia and Indonesia and has over 300 registered participants following the virtual event. "The virtual event is conducted via Zoom platform and those participants who have registered will be allowed to follow the panel discussions," it said. It added that by jointly organising this virtual event as the media partner, Serba Dinamik’s ESPC has been able to bridge the industry across border networks potentially via a virtual realm and kept the Cyber Security industry discussion moving forward with the available technological platform during the COVID-19 pandemic. "When the COVID-19 pandemic hit across the world, digitalisation usage and implementation have taken to a greater level as it grows in tandem with digitalisation. "More emphasis must be given to advocate and educate the importance of cybersecurity and privacy matters not only limiting to business but across the board reaching out to the masses," it said. -- BERNAMA
