Iran’s Exports To Iraq Speed Up

Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA – Secretary of the Headquarters for Development of Iran-Iraq Economic Relations said grounds are prepared for investment in Iraq, adding that speed of Iran’s exports to Iraq should be doubled through holding exclusive and international exhibitions.
Speaking at a local gathering, Rostam Qasemi pointed to trade opportunities and challenges with that country in the light of new political and security conditions and said today Iraq is in serious need of maintaining its infrastructures.
He said Iraq’s urgent need for infrastructures and the necessity to supply electricity has made the Iraqi government offer many proposals to the companies which are active in building factories for the assembly of products.
As for facilitation of Iran’s exports to Iraq, Qasemi said the Headquarters for Iraq’s Market Research has been established and holding of international and exclusive exhibitions in Iraq and Kurdistan region are among major export mechanisms.
He pointed to the holding of the 10th International DBX Exhibition in Soleimaniyeh and said trade and investment groups from Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Japan, Australia, China and Iraq’s neighboring countries will attend the exhibition.
Qasemi expressed the hope that Iranian stands can prepare the grounds for continuation of Iran’s exports to Iraq, adding that the exhibition can be among the most important mechanisms for stabilization of exports to Iraq.
Soleimaniyeh exhibition will be held with the cooperation of Development of Exhibition Industry Company which is the executive of Iran stands and with the presence of capable Iranian companies from November 14-17. /end
