Japan-Based Alphaus Establishing Presence In Kuala Lumpur
KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) -- Japan-based information technology provider Alphaus Inc. will continue to hire local and foreign talents to establish a presence in the capital and as businesses continue to adopt cloud infrastructure rapidly.
The company said the decision to make Malaysia its global development centre and Southeast Asia regional office is due to the country’s world-class infrastructure at designated multimedia super corridor (MSC) locations, reasonable cost of living, and access to the skilled and multilingual talents.
“Malaysia has been ranked as the third Best Global Services Location for several years in a study done by AT Kearney. The government's initiative to boost the local tech industry makes it an ideal place for startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) alike,” it said in a statement Monday.
Meanwhile, Alphaus said the importance of adopting cloud infrastructure, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, is more critical than before.
Alphaus is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Technology Partner and the first company the outside the North America region providing solutions to address cloud wastage.
In 2019, the worldwide cloud infrastructure spending reached US$107 billion (US$1=RM4.27) and is growing at a rapid rate of around 40 per cent annually.
