Kazakhstan and FRG: economic cooperation

Astana, 28 June 2008, Khabar - Members of Kazakhstani-German working group discussed perspectives of economic interaction in Berlin sitting.

They prepare base for high-level negotiations in September, during the visit of Federal president of Germany, Horst Keller. Kazakhstan and Germany will work on attraction of advanced German technologies to our RK, partnership in energy sector, agriculture and exchange experience in taxation, customs policy, support of small business.

Both sides the countries have great
potential of bilateral relations, Germany takes 6th place in the list of our
trade partners. But now Kazakhstan and Germany underline not only trade and
industrial joint projects, but also raise of qualification of Kazakhstani
managers and attraction of advanced experience in economy managing.

Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of RK:
- Volumes of goods turnover between our countries raise every year. But I
consider our potential is greater. And it must be realized due to our
meetings and consultations, meetings of our businessmen, direct contacts.

Germany highly values level of trusty relations with Kazakhstani partners.
Successful economical policy of Kazakhstani leadership makes our country
"locomotive of development" in Central Asian region and attracts German
