Lion Air Launches Second Daily Flight From KL To Jakarta

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- Lion Air, Indonesia’s largest private carrier, has launched its second daily flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Jakarta on Dec 19. In a statement Friday, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said Lion Air's flight JT 280 arrived from Jakarta at 2.40pm and JT 281 departed from KLIA at 3.30pm, almost fully loaded. Lion Air president director, Rusdi Kirana, said the commencement of the flight was in response to greater demand from both neighbouring countries. MAHB managing director, Bashir Ahmad, said Lion Air's flight was a reflection of the increasing demand for the KL-Jakarta route and would benefit passengers in terms of wider spread of services and greater connectivity. -- BERNAMA
