Malaysia's Ode Jee Partners With 8 Companies To Form Ode Halal.Asia Consortium
JOHOR BAHRU (Johor, Malaysia), Dec 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s first halal food delivery application operator Ode Jee has partnered with eight industry players to form a consortium known as Ode Halal.Asia.
The eight companies are Mars Global Sdn Bhd, Holistic Labs Sdn Bhd, JT Lab Sdn Bhd, AR Mechatronics Plt Ltd, IM Digital Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association (Presma), OSB Global Resources Sdn Bhd and JME Resources Sdn Bhd.
Ode Jee chairman Ismail Alwasi Khan said the consortium would work closely in product and application development, organise courses and produce more new entrepreneurs to venture into the halal industry.
“The consortium will explore various new opportunities not only in the state and Malaysia but also in the Asian region,” he said at the pre-launch of the Ode Jee application and signing of the memoranda of understanding among the consortium partners here Tuesday.
The pre-launch was officiated by State Investment, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Human Resources Committee chairman Mohd Izhar Ahmad.
Ismail said Ode Jee has also teamed up with Mars Global, Presma, OSB and JME Resources Sdn Bhd in other endeavours including product supply, and building up vendors and food delivery riders.
He said Ode Jee was confident that the cooperation could open and provide new job opportunities particularly for the people of Malaysia’s southern state Johor.
“The Ode Jee application is currently in the final phase of its installation and may be downloaded by the public, tentatively at the end of this month,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mohd Izhar said aside from providing employment, Ode Jee could also help many vendors whose businesses were affected by the Movement Control Order.
“I am confident that Ode Jee’s cooperation with the companies to set up the Ode Halal.Asia Consortium would further boost the halal industry in the state and country,” he said.
Ode Jee currently has about 1,200 vendors throughout Johor and more than 200 food delivery riders.
