Monetary base approaches record level in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, August 20 /Trend, E.Aliyev/ As of August 1, 2013, the monetary base in national currency amounted to 10, 427, 600 million manat, according to statistical data from Azerbaijani Central Bank posted on its website on Tuesday. According to data from the Central Bank, the volume of the monetary base increased by 16.6 per cent compared to the figure of July, 2013. According to the data from the Central Bank for July 1, the volume of monetary base amounted to 8,940,200 million manat. The volume of the monetary base decreased by 0.8 per cent compared to early 2013. As of January 1, 2013 this figure hit a record level of 10,515,000 million manat.
