MP: Majlis To Help Government Deal With Economic Sanctions

Tehran, July 8, IRNA – Spokesman for Majis Economic Commission Mohammad Alipour said on Saturday that there is no doubt that the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) will help the government seriously deal with the economic sanctions imposed on the country by the West. The sanctions imposed by certain western states are not somethings new and it’s for a long time that Iran has been facing such hostile acts, he said. The Iranian nation is now witnessing the bullying powers mobilize all their forces to bring the nation to its knees but to no avail, he said. The enemies seize any opportunity to deal a blow on the Islamic Revolution in a bid to impede the country’s success and progress and they have now resorted to their outdated ploy of economic sanctions, underlined the MP. The enemies assume that by exerting more economic pressures they can separate the Iranian nation from the revolution, he said, adding that they should bear in mind that these people will fully back their Supreme Leader to the last drop of their blood. The Iranian people seek independence and will pay its price, he said. Fortunately, the Majlis and government are determined to deal with such sanctions and there is no doubt that the government will win the support of the Majlis to this effect, he said./end
