Nissan Navara Wins Truck Of The Year Award

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- Nissan Navara has won the Truck of the Year in the Live Life Drive Car of the Year 2011 and 2012 Award presented by Wheels Weekly. Executive director of Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd, Dr Ang Bon Beng, said since its launch in 2008, Navara was well-known for its synonym as the 'Mother' of all pickup trucks in Malaysia. "With class leading features, Navara continues to sell beyond expectations from year to year and having garnered many prestigious awards and recognition globally," he said in a statement Saturday. Meanwhile, managing editor of Live Life Drive by Wheels Weekly, Bobby Ang, said most of the trucks had taken the similar approach of styling their interior to resemble those of sedans. "However, I personally view that the truck’s loading capacity is the utmost aspect of all. In this case, Nissan Navara has simply outperformed the other contenders," he said. Live Life Drive Car of the Year Award is an initiative by Wheels Weekly to honour the best vehicles in Malaysia during the qualifying period.
