Over 11,200 British nationals visited Mongolia in 2013

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The UK Government updated on April 29 foreign travel advice for those who want to visit Mongolia published at its gov.uk website. The advice was updated last time on April 29. The advice says, Mongolia takes border security very seriously and foreign nationals are not routinely permitted access to border areas. There is a low threat from terrorism in Mongolia, it says and advises visitors to avoid going out on foot alone at night. “Foreigners stand out and can be targeted for attack because of their comparative wealth”. According to that website, over 11,200 British nationals visited Mongolia in 2013. "Most visits are trouble-free".
