Perlis Looking At Investment Opportunities In Cambodia

KANGAR (Perlis, Malaysia), Dec 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's northern state of Perlis is looking at investment opportunities in Cambodia and among the areas being considered is the construction of a water treatment plant in that country, said Perlis Chief Minister, Dr Md Isa Sabu Thursday. He said that Syarikat Air Perlis, which will begin operations next year, and a local company with experience in the water industry, would cooperate to undertake the project. Speaking to reporters, he said a preliminary survey by the two companies to evaluate the investment potentials there was carried out during his working visit to Cambodia last week. He was confident that the project, if implemented, could bring long-term profits to both companies. -- BERNAMA
