SECOND MONGOLIA-CHINA EXPO-2017 TAKING PLACE IN HOHHOT

Hohhot /MONTSAME/ The Second Mongolia-China Expo-2017 opened on September 26 in Hohhot city, Inner Mongolia, China. Co-organized by the Mongolian Ministry of Food Agriculture and Light Industry, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the People’s Government House of Inner Mongolia and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Expo is being attended by over 800 delegates of Mongolian 400 companies. They are displaying some 20 kinds of products, such as, handicrafts, wool and cashmere goods, silver-wares and foods. The Mongolia-China Expo aims to strengthen the bilateral economic and trade partnership, and 23 activities will be organized within four main events. Following the opening ceremony, a high-level forum of Mongolia-China-Russia cooperation commenced in the ‘Khukh Tal’ Conference Center. In frames of the events on Wednesday, the investment environment of Mongolia and China and mega-projects will be presented. The two countries will touch upon the cooperation in agricultural sector, productions and manufacturing of goods. It will be followed by a discussion concerning the Mongolia-China-Russia mining reserves, a high-level meeting of trade and industrial companies and a forum on international scientific and technological cooperation. During the 1st Mongolia-China Expo held in 2015, Mongolian companies made sales of MNT 1.37 billion or CNY 4.3 million. Besides it, it was projected that the Mongolia-China trade turnover would reach USD 10 billion by 2020 thanks to organizing the Expo. According to statistics by August of 2017, Mongolia made trade of USD 4,418.4 million with China, which is 64.4% of total external trade of Mongolia, indicating an increase of 41.5%. B.Batchimeg
