STARBUCKS Targets 20 Pct Of Customers To Use Pre-Loaded Card

By Nur Firdaus Abdul Rahim PETALING JAYA (Malaysia), Nov 12 (Bernama) -- Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd is optimistic 20 per cent of its customers would use the newly-launched pre-loaded Starbucks card, said its Managing Director, Coffee Master, Sydney Quays. He said the card was a stored value card that offered customers convenience when purchasing merchandise at any Starbucks coffee store, nationwide. "Customers who purchase the card just need to register it with our website at www.starbucks.com.my to protect their card balance and enjoy complimentary beverage of their choice. "They will also enjoy a complimentary slice of cake with any beverage purchased on their birth month," he told Bernama before the launch of the card here Friday. He said the card, sold at RM20 (US$1=RM3.14) each, can be pre loaded with the same credit amount and was available at all Starbuck outlets, nationwide. On future plans, he said Starbucks, which currently operated 120 outlets, planned to open two new stores by year-end. -- BERNAMA
