Taiwan Showcases Hardware And Fastener Building Industry

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- Taiwan Excellence, the national award in providing international businesses and insights on Taiwan’s hardware industry, has recently hosted the Taiwan Excellence Building Material and Fastener Webinar. Held on Oct 30, 2020, the webinar saw over 200 buyers and media participation from around the world, Taiwan Excellence said in a statement. Taiwan, a leading player in the global hardware industry, is one of the first Asian countries to invest in the development of high-value metal production products such as hardware, building materials, and fasteners. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) executive vice-president Simon Wang said Taiwan has a complete supply chain in fastener industry, providing cutting-edge technologies and international competitiveness. “In 2019, Taiwan’s hand tool industry has an export value of over US$3.8 billion, placing Taiwan among the top three in the world. Whereas, the fastener export is at US$4 billion, which is ranked fourth in the world,” he said. The webinar session was represented by companies that were the recipients of the Taiwan Excellence Award and exemplify the most innovative, and highest-performing hardware and fastener in the industry. The companies include King Slide Works, which specialises in innovative designing and manufacturing from electronic and industrial equipment to various fine furniture applications; and Sheh Kai Precision, a professional manufacturer of screw bolts and concrete drill bit. Besides that, presenters were from TRONCO Electric Machinery, a leader manufacturer in the region of construction with years of experience in door automation and automatic door systems which merchandise with Tronco brand, and Sheh Fung Screws, a specialist in manufacturing screws.
