Tawazun showcases Made in UAE

Abu Dhabi, June 5, 2012 (WAM) - Tawazun is participating at this week's centenary celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the formation of the first Border Guard unit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The event, which is taking place simultaneously alongside the International Conference on Border Security in Riyadh this week, is being held under the patronage of HRH Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia. Tawazun is a gold sponsor of the event, participating in both the conference and exhibition. The high profile event is being attended by dignitaries from across the region including royalty, ministers, leaders and directors of other national Border Guards, diplomatic missions and military attaches. Tawazun is showcasing a number of its Made in the UAE's defence products at the celebrations, including vehicles made by defence automotive manufacturer NIMR, military and sporting weapons produced by Caracal International and Tawazun Advanced Defence Systems (TADS) and munitions manufactured by Burkan and Caracal Light Ammunition. All five companies are based in Tawazun Industrial Park.
