TuneHotel Records 3 Mln Guests In Four Years

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 20 (Bernama) -- Tune Hotels Group says it has registered three million guests over a period of four years since the opening of its first hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur in 2007. In a statement here on Monday, it said from the one-millionth guest mark it achieved in March 2010 to two millionth by mid 2011, its guest arrivals have been exponential with the network aggressively expanding across Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom. Tune Hotels Group chief executive officer, Mark Lankester said the group did not expect the level of success it has reached globally when it first started. He added that about 30 new Tune Hotels will be opening globally in the next 12 months. The hotel chain is also treating guests who book for a minimum of two nights at its hotels in Malaysia and Bali, Indonesia to a 30 per cent discount on published room rates, excluding add-ons. It has over 2,000 rooms spread through 14 hotels in Malaysia, Indonesia, United Kingdom and Thailand. --BERNAMA Malaysia
