Turkey Trade And Customs Minister Visiting Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- Turkey’s Minister of Trade and Customs, Hayati Yazici, will to lead a businessmen delegation to Malaysia next week, the Commercial Counsellor’s office of the Turkish Embassy here said Friday. It said Istanbul Chamber of Commerce chairman Dr Murat Yalcintas will be among prominent businessmen in the delegation. Yazici, who will arrive here on Feb 29, will jointly open the Third Turkish Products Exhibition in Malaysia 2012 with Malaysian International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on March 1. Some 70 renowned Turkish companies will showcase their products and services at the week-long exhibition hosted by the chamber in collaboration with the Turkish Embassy here. Turkey's rich product diversity like agricultural produce, automotive parts and components, machineries, building materials such as tiles and ceramics will be on display at the exhibition. Also to be featured are chemicals, industrial products, foodstuffs, cosmetics, gifts and souvenir items, decorative articles, kitchen accessories, textiles and related products. The counsellor's office said the exhibition would boost Turkey-Malaysia commercial ties. A Turkish Cultural Week will also be held for a week at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur from Feb 26, it added. -- BERNAMA
