WORLD BANK TO IMPLEMENT PROGRAM-FOR-RESULT IN AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On December 13, Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Minister B.Batzorig met with World Bank’s senior agribusiness specialist M.Sitaramchandra and senior private-sector specialist D.Jigjidmaa. During the meeting, they defined directions of cooperation in food, agriculture and light industrial sector in near future within the framework of ‘Program-for-Results’ (PforR) financing instrument to be newly implemented by the World Bank. The Minister expressed an interest to cooperate with the WB to implement a project on exporting meat and agricultural products In the scope of the PforR. M.Sitaramchandra told that the WB is to pay special attention on implementation of projects in the sector and willing to cooperate effectively.
