Chief of Staff Stresses Importance of National Defence Course to Qualify Intellectual, Leadership Elites

 

Doha, June 05 (QNA) - HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Staff Lt. General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit emphasized the importance of the National Defence Course, as it qualifies civilian and military intellectual and leadership elites who possess the strategic vision capable of studying the variables of the strategic environment.

This came during his lecture titled "Challenges Facing National Security" at Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies to a group of participants of the Defense Course number (3), including officers from the armed forces, senior government and state institutions officials and security agencies.

HE noted the most prominent regional and international challenges facing national security, ways to assess and confront them, and the role of the armed forces in strengthening national security.

After that, HE met with a number of participants and the administrative and educational staff at the academy. He also inaugurated the website of the Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies, which was designed to meet the needs of researchers as a reference tool for various strategic and scientific research studies. The website aims to provide information about the academy, showcase its scientific output and highlight its military identity as a leading Qatari academic and research institution. (QNA)
