Civil Defence Team Leaves for Turkiye to Participate in Fire and Rescue World Championship

Riyadh, August 29, 2023, SPA -- The Saudi delegation of the Civil Defense Team left today for the Republic of Turkiye to participate in the World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport, which will start Thursday, August 31st and continue until Wednesday, September 6th.
The Saudi Civil Defense Team participates in the championship competitions to show the technical and fitness capabilities of the civil defence staff.
They will compete in ladder climbing races to the upper floors of the training tower, overcoming 100-meter hurdles, relaying a 100-meter fire, and fighting fire, with the aim of simulating firefighting and rescue work that requires physical effort.
