Collective Innovation Made at Hwangju-Kindung Waterway Project

Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- True to the resolutions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, successes have been made at the Hwangju-Kindung waterway project, which is of weighty significance in perfecting the overall irrigation system of the DPRK.

The Nampho City brigade of the waterway construction division has worked out a detailed process plan for completing the project in the shortest possible time and ensured the quality and speed of its construction.

Shock brigade members of the Kangso and Chollima District battalions introduced advanced construction methods, thoroughly observed the requirements of the construction methods and technical regulations in all work and strengthened inter-process ties, thus speeding up the project more than twice as much as before.

The Hanggu District Battalion secured a large amount of spare parts by tapping internal reserves and potentials and repaired and maintained equipment in a responsible manner so that the project could be carried out without interruption.

The operators of trucks, shovellers and excavators are over-fulfilling their daily quotas by raising their actual working ratio.

Amid the brisk campaign for overtaking, learning from and swapping experience with each battalion, the concrete tamping was successfully completed.
