Crescent Sighting Committee: Friday First Day of Eid Al Fitr

 

Doha, April 20 (QNA) - The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced that tomorrow Friday will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

This came in a statement from the committee after concluding its meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, chaired by Sheikh Dr. Thuqail Al Shammari.

The committee said that the crescent was sighted tonight, and as a result announced that tomorrow Friday, April 21, will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr. The committee also offered its greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the wise government, the Qatari people, and all Muslims on the occasion.
