CST Reveals Increase of Individual Data Consumption in Makkah, Holy Sites, Exceeding Nearly Two Times Global Average on June 27th

Mina, Jun 28, 2023, SPA -- The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) revealed the statistics of the 27th of June, indicating that the data consumption in Makkah and the holy sites had hit 3.97K TB or the equivalent of 1.63 million hours of 1080p videos.
In its latest statistics, the Commission said that the daily individual data consumption had reached 661MB, nearly two times exceeding the international average of data usage per person of 270MB.
CST further said that the average speed for mobile internet download had reached 221 Mbit/second and the upload speed amounted to 30 Mbit/second, respectively, which proves the ability of the Kingdom’s infrastructure to meet the ambitions of pilgrims and facilitate their communications with their families while performing the Hajj rituals.
The statistics revealed that the most visited websites on June 27th were TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
