Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Sends Verbal Message to President of Malawi

Lilongwe, September 05, 2023, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a verbal message to the President of the Republic of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera, concerning bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation. The Royal Court's Advisor, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, delivered the message during his meeting in Lilongwe today with President Chakwera.
During the meeting, Kattan extended warm greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the President of Malawi, as well as their wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the government and people of Malawi.
In response, the President of Malawi conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH, the Crown Prince, and the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He also expressed his country's support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh. He expressed his welcome for the First Saudi-African and Fifth Arab-African summits to be held in Riyadh this year.
The Saudi Deputy Ambassador to the Republic of Zambia, Yazid Al-Dariwish also attended the meeting.
For her part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi affirmed her country's support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh during a press conference with Kattan. She also affirmed her country's welcome for the First Saudi-African and Fifth Arab-African summits to be held this year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For his part, Kattan expressed thanks and appreciation on behalf of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this support, which reflects the strong relations between the two countries.
