Deputizing for Saudi Foreign Minister, Undersecretary for International Multilateral Affairs Participates in 9th Meeting of Arab-African Partnership Coordination Committee

New York, September 23, 2023, SPA – Deputizing for Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry for International Multilateral Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi participated today in the 9th ministerial meeting of the Arab-African Partnership Coordination Committee, which was held on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat, foreign ministers of Algeria and Comoros and high ranking Bahraini and Senegalese officials participated in the meeting, which was held at the AU mission's headquarters in New York
In a speech representing the foreign minister, Al-Rassi emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening Arab-African relations. He specifically highlighted the significance of the first Saudi-African Summit and the 5th Arab-African Summit, which take place in the Kingdom in November.
During the meeting, discussions centered around Arab-African relations and the collaborative initiatives between the Arab League and the African Union (AU).
