B.LKHAGVASUREN CONDUCTS NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA OF CUBA

Ulaanbaatar / MONTSAME / Mongolian conductor B.Lkhagvasuren conducted the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba at the National Theatre of Havana on February 25. The concert was initiated and organized by the Embassy of Mongolia in Havana, Cuba. During the concert, the world classic works and pieces of Mongolian renowned composers were played. Especially, performances including works by Beethoven and Antonin Dvorak, Ulemjiin Chanar by State Honored Laureate and State Honored Cultural Figure B.Sharav, and Treasure Mountain and Storm petrel (Salhich Shuvuu) by Mongolian famous composer Z.Khangal got a big round of applause. Opening the concert, Ts.Batbayar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Cuba underlined that although Mongolia and Cuba are located in different geographical regions, classical art and music can play an important role to make citizens of the two countries close. Approximately 600 people watched the concert including representatives from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cuba, the Cuban Institute of Music and teachers and students of the University of Arts.
