LAST BOGD JEBTSUNDAMBA EXHIBITION HELD

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 29, a traditional exhibition titled ‘The Last Bogd Jebtsundamba’ opened at the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum. December 29 marked the 106th anniversary of the Restoration of National Freedom and Independence of Mongolia. The exhibition unveiled never-seen-before photographs of the 8th Bogd Khaan and Queen Consort Dondogdulam and their belongings including boots, hat, deel, prayer beads and snuff bottle to the public. In specific, there is a photograph of Queen Consort Dondogdulam in her 30s, seated on a chair gifted to the 1st Bogd Zanabazar from Qing Emperor Kangxi (Enkh-Amgalan) with a prayer bead in her right hand. During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Bogd Khaans of Mongolia was honored with the full performance of a Mongolian epic by story-teller A.Baldandorj. Kh.Aminaa
