He added that discussions revolved around fostering an environment of collaboration and partnership ahead of the awaited Expo 2023 Doha. The Commissioners General also addressed all organizational aspects, including zone operation and site service, sponsorship activation, volunteer programs and sustainability initiatives. He added that they visited and toured the exhibition site in Al Bidda Park and expressed their satisfaction with the good organization in place. The Organizing Committee of the Expo 2023 Doha Horticultural Exhibition and all commissioners expected the exhibition to be a resounding success beyond all previous editions, especially given the State of Qatar's great success in organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
His Excellency stressed that the Expo 2023 Doha offers participating countries and international organizations an unprecedented opportunity to showcase their creative initiatives, agricultural practices, and diverse and rich cultures, adding that over the period of the horticultural exhibition, the National Day of each participating country will be celebrated.
Al Dafa pointed out that some of the participating countries intend to invite a number of their celebrities and stars in various artistic, sport, and political fields to be present in their pavilions on their National Day. There will also be a special area to discover diverse cuisines in addition to enjoying various daily activities to be announced soon.
As part of the State of Qatar's continuous support to least developed countries worldwide, the Expo 2023 Doha Commissioner General stated that more than 70 percent of these countries will participate in the Expo 2023 Doha, enabling them to showcase their latest projects, investment opportunities, initiatives and ideas to tackle the challenges of food security and climate change, with this participation offering these countries the opportunity to receive funding and establish fruitful cooperation partnerships bilaterally and multilaterally, be it with private sector investors or with international organizations.
HE Ambassador Bader bin Omar Al Dafa said that the Organizing Committee was keen on a diverse and comprehensive international participation in the exhibition. He added that the Expo 2023 Doha will feature a prominent Gulf and Arab participation, including two pavilions one for the Gulf Cooperation Council and another for the Arab League, in addition to pavilions dedicated to regional and international organizations dealing with climate and environmental challenges.
Al Dafa pointed out that the exhibition's International Area serves as a beautiful summary of all continents, enabling visitors to learn about the diverse cultures of the participating countries, their achievements, and their ambitions in relation to the exhibition's four main themes: modern agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainability.
